Editing & Publishing

Publishing Program

If you’re a justice-impacted individual interested in publishing your writing, we offer a publishing program through which we accept 4 in-house publishing agreements each year and 2 additional paid projects. We take submissions from January 1st through March 30th, and we only accept manuscript copies. For more information on our publishing program, contact us by clicking the button below!

Editing Services

In addition to our publishing program, we also offer paid editing services to help you polish your writing and formatting. If you are publishing elsewhere but have a previously written manuscript that you would like help with, please fill out our form through the link below.

Our Work in Action

The authors who partner with us have published in genres such as poetry, memoir, children’s books, and self-help. Our formerly incarcerated authors have also presented their books at speaking engagements in the community to help spread the word about the benefits of storytelling. To date, Authors Inside has published 12 books written by incarcerated authors. To explore our publications, click below.

Explore How Writing Can Be A Catalyst For Change

Discover the voices of our community through their writing. Through poetry, memoir, fiction, and reflection, these authors reclaim their voices, reflect on lived experiences, and imagine new futures.

Your support makes publication possible!

It costs us approximately $2,500 (below market cost) to complete a project, which includes line editing, proofreading, interior formatting, illustrations, and graphic designs. Help us share more stories by making a donation below.
